Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation
Atlanta Fire Fighters and The Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation
The Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation is in place to provide funding and programs to prevent burn injuries and improve the lives and treatment of burn patients. Our members have been involved with the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation for over 20 years. Many members are camp counselors for Camp Oo-U-La ® which is supported by our annual boot drive. This camp provides a weeklong all expense paid retreat for over 100 of Georgias burned children each year. Atlanta Fire Fighters typically raise $30,000 each year to support the foundation and the camp through the Fill the Boot campaign.
In addition our members help with additional fundraisers for the foundation that include producing the Hotlanta Firefighters calendar and staffing the Georgia Tech Boot Drive and the collection of aluminum cans that are sold to a recycler with all proceeds going to the foundation.
