Elected Representatives
The officers of the Atlanta Professional Fire Fighters are elected at large by the full membership and serve terms of two years.

Jim Daws, President
After several years of activism in the local concentrating on pay and pension parity, the members elected Jim Vice President in 2005. In 2006 he was elected President of the local. Jim's responsibilities include governmental affairs, community outreach and communications. He is an 19-year veteran of the fire service, currently assigned to Headquarters as Project Manager for fire station construction. Jim's core belief is that excellent service to the citizens, combined with community involvement by the firefighters is the key to fair treatment by the city's elected representatives. (e-mail Jim)

Michael Rogers, Secretary-Treasurer
The local's senior elected officer, Mike served two terms as vice president from 1992 until 1996, when he was elected secretary -treasurer. He maintains stewardship of the members resources and overseas all aspects of the local's finances and day to day operations. Mike began his fire service career in 1978 and was awarded Atlanta's Medal of Valor in 1989 for heroism during the Peachtree 25th fire. He serves as a Captain at Station 29 in the Ansley / Morningside neighborhoods.

Stephen Hill, Vice President
Stephen has been active in the local since 1997. He began as a station steward before being elected trustee in 1999. Steve's goal is see all Atlanta firefighters treated equally. He helped make the local more technologically advanced by establishing its original web site. Stephens responsibilities include newsletter editing and publishing, financial review and ongoing records management. He joined the fire service in 1993 and currently serves as a Lieutenant at Fire Station 10, the renowned 'Animal House', in the Grant Park community. (e-mail Steve)

Ray Bearden, Trustee

David Rhodes, President Emeritus
David lead the Atlanta Professional Fire Fighters as President from 1998 to 2006. David serves as a Battalion Chief in northwest Atlanta from Station 8 in the Chattahoochee Industrial District. Upon stepping down from office the members honored Dave with the title President Emeritus in which capacity he serves as a trusted advisor to the executive board. (e-mail David)
